Cobi Harris Seslar

Everett Comm. College
Monroe, Washington
Cobi has been a dedicated Yoga practitioner since 1991, and teacher since 1997. She has studied a variety of styles including: Iyengar, Ashtanga, Anusara, Forest, Prana Flow, and Classical Hatha. She is grateful to her many teachers: Lynn Minton, John Friend, Norman Allen, Sara Tharington, Tami Hafzalla, and Jodi Boone.

After suffering a herniated disk in 2003, which resulted in back surgery, Cobi found her best physical therapy to be Pilates. Knowing that she loved to teach the physical aspects of Yoga, she embarked on a 1,000 hour Pilates teacher training. She taught Pilates for six years, while still practicing and teaching Yoga (also while working on her Master’s in Education). She calls her style Core Flow after the integration of the two modalities.

For the last few years, Cobi has immersed herself again in Yoga education, she completed a 200-hour Yoga & Ayurveda Teacher Training with Synergy Yoga School in Seattle, WA. She is also certified in Restorative, Yin, Yoga Nidra, Art of Assisting, and Yoga Psychology. She loves integrating traditional yoga philosophy, as well as healing psychology based exercises, into her creative movement practices.

For the last nine years, Cobi has taught a Beginning Yoga course at Everett Community College. In this community offering she has worked with ALL shapes, sizes, ethnicities, religions, ages, and experience levels. Cobi teaches a weekly “Contemplative Yoga” class at The Yoga Garden. Also, she teaches Yoga at Summit Everett Rock climbing gym. Cobi offers workshops at various studios with themes such as: “Yin & Flow”, “Move from the Core, then Restore”, “Deep Healing with Yoga Psychology”, and “Yoga for Back Health” where she collaborates with musicians, and healers. Cobi was a presenter at the NW Yoga Conference in 2018.
