Chastity Davis

Chastity is a mixed heritage woman, of First Nations and European descent. She is a member of the Tla’ammin Nation, which belongs to the West Coast Salish People’s and is interconnected to K’omox, Klahoose, and Homalco peoples. Chastity’s passion for yoga in her own personal development journey has encouraged her to become fully trained to bring this ancient Indigenous practice to people as part of their holistic healing journey.

Chastity is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance and completed her yin yoga teacher training through Love Light Yoga School. She is also completing another 200 hour yoga teacher training with Saul David Raye at his yoga school Ritam Healing Arts. Chastity will also be starting 200-hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher training in Fall 2019. Chastity has lead yoga retreats all over British Columbia, Canada as well India since she has become certified.

Chastity began her journey with yoga 16 years ago when she was attending college. She didn’t have the funds to pay for yoga classes so she exchanged cleaning the studio for a membership. Chastity’s practice started with Bikrams yoga and then branched out to Kundalini, Iyengar, Atma, and Yin. Chastity has travelled the world to practice yoga with some of the world’s top yoga instructors such as Seane Corne, Nikki Costello, Gurmukh,
Snatum Kaur, Saul David Raye, and Jai Dev Singh. Prior to Chastity’s yoga journey, she was an Olympic style wrestler for 6 years and a competitive swimmer for 6 years.

Chastity is completing her Master of Arts in Intercultural and International Communication and is sole proprietor to her multi-award winning consulting business – Chastity Davis Consulting. Chastity has worked with over 125+ Indigenous communities throughout Canada as well as working closely with the provincial and federal governments, corporations, Indigenous organizations, and not-for-profits. Chastity is a strong advocate
for advancing the optimal safety, health, and wellness, for Indigenous women and volunteers much of her time to this important movement.
