Yoga for Low Back Pain
Limited Capacity seats available

With yoga-related back injuries on the rise and millions of people suffering from chronic lower back pain, it’s time for yoga teachers to be proactive! This workshop is for teachers and students and is based on The Essential Low Back Program developed by Robin Rothenberg, an internationally recognized Yoga Therapist. The methodology and approach to back pain presented in this workshop is based on the groundbreaking National Institutes of Health studies published in the Annals of Internal Medicine and Archives of Internal Medicine.

You will learn how to prevent future injuries, and how to support your students in healing their backs. You will experience a therapeutic yoga practice for low back pain, as well as learn how to adapt poses for specific back conditions and levels of injury/pain. You will also learn what questions to ask, and how to collaborate with your students should they need treatment beyond the scope of therapeutic yoga. This workshop is geared toward teachers who want to attune their teaching to be more able to care for those with chronic lower back pain. The workshop will also address common low back problems that occur with yoga teachers, and how to adapt poses to best support their practice.
