Yoga for Digestive Support

Ayurvedic wisdom says that "A person is as old as their digestive system". And it is true, 60-70% of your immunity is in your gut. All Ayurvedic treatment is geared towards balancing the digestive fire (aka metabolic fire or Agni). This metabolic fire is what ensures optimal bodily functioning. It governs digestion, absorption and nutrition of the tissues. As a gusty wind will blow out a candle, excess movement or travel will blow out your digestive fire. In this class, we will use practices from Ayurveda and Yoga to support digestion. Ayurveda & Yoga are both from the ancient Vedic Texts, these sister sciences are most effective when practiced together.
